OpenAlly for Android
A normal Play Store install. Tap, install, open. No sideloading, no developer mode, no APK to hunt down.
Free to start. You bring your own model — an API key, a plan you already pay for, or a server running on your own machine.
On a desktop? Point your phone’s camera at this.
Aster
A separate Android app, installed by you, from outside the Play Store. It’s what grants OpenAlly the screen-control capability — the one that lets your AI tap, type and swipe through your other apps on your behalf.
OpenAlly works fine without it. You only need Aster if you want screen automation. One entry in the catalogue declares a screen requirement — Flare. Everything else runs without the companion installed.
What it unlocks
Your AI's phone superpowers via the Aster companion — search contacts, find and remove duplicates, search your SMS, find spam, see which apps hold which permissions and how much space they use, and — when you allow it — drive your screen to complete multi-step tasks for you, all on-device with your confirmation.
Read the Aster skillTo be plain about it: this is a sideload. You download the APK yourself and allow your browser or file manager to install it, once. The file comes from the release page above rather than from Google Play, and you switch the accessibility service on by hand afterwards.
Other platforms
iPhone and Mac builds exist — they’re in review and preparation, and there is no public link yet. We’d rather say that than give you a date we can’t keep.
The groundwork is already in the catalogue: 22 entries carry an iPhone tag and 16 carry a Mac tag, generated from the app’s own manifests.
