Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy applies to every payment made to Matterward Labs Private Limited (Matterward Labs, "we", "us", or "our") for OpenAlly™, including subscription plans, renewals, and any one-time purchase or paid add-on, however that payment reaches us. It forms part of our Terms of Service.

OpenAlly is free to start, and the free tier stays free. This page only matters once you have chosen to pay for something.

It does not cover charges you owe someone else. If you connect your own AI provider, messaging platform, or other third-party account, you are billed by that provider under its own agreement, and its refund terms (not ours) apply to it.

All purchases and subscription payments are final and non-refundable. Once a payment has been completed, we do not return it, in whole or in part.

We ask you to treat every payment as a considered one. The free tier exists so that you can try OpenAlly properly before you pay for it, and the feature pages on this site describe what a plan includes before you buy.

We do not issue refunds, credits, or pro-rata adjustments for:

• a partial billing period, for any reason;
• time left on a plan after you cancel part-way through a billing cycle;
• a plan you paid for but did not use, or used less than expected;
• downgrading from a higher plan to a lower one, or switching plans mid-cycle;
• a period during which your account was inactive, suspended, or terminated; or
• features you did not use, or that changed during the period you paid for.

You can cancel a subscription at any time. Cancelling stops the next payment. It does not return a payment you have already made.

Your plan stays active for the remainder of the billing period you have already paid for, and then does not renew. You are not charged again after that, and you keep using OpenAlly on the free tier.

Cancel through whichever channel you subscribed with, the app store subscription settings if you subscribed there, or the billing settings on your OpenAlly account. Deleting the app on its own does not cancel a subscription; see also Request Data Deletion, which is a separate request and does not by itself end billing.

If you bought a plan through Google Play or another app store, that store (not Matterward Labs) is the merchant of record and holds the payment. Cancellation and any request about that transaction go through the store's own subscription and support settings, and the store's published policies govern what it does with such a request.

We do not control those policies and cannot direct a store's decision. Nothing on this page is a commitment by us to obtain a refund from a store on your behalf.

A payment that fails, is declined, or does not complete is not a purchase, and no plan starts. If an amount left your account without the purchase completing, that is a settlement matter for your bank or payment provider rather than a refund of a purchase, write to us at [email protected] with the date, amount, and transaction reference and we will check our records against the provider's.

Nothing in this policy limits or removes any right you have under consumer law that cannot be waived by agreement, including the mandatory consumer-protection rights of the country where you live. Where such a law requires a particular outcome, that law applies and this policy yields to it, to the extent of the conflict only.

This policy is governed by the laws of India and read together with the governing-law and dispute terms in our Terms of Service.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. The version published here at the moment you pay is the one that applies to that payment.
